As we wrap up 2024, we’re taking a moment to look back on what has been an exciting and transformative year for Uniform. The market evolved, and so did we, continuing to do what we do best: designing and building amazing homes in fantastic communities while expanding our luxury rental offerings. Whether new homes or rental residences, our approach remains the same – superior quality, thoughtful execution, and inspired design.
A New Chapter in Kanata North
In 2024, we broke ground at Copperwood Estate, an exciting new community in Kanata North. Uniform has long set the precedent in this area for quality homes, elevated architecture, and lasting home values. As the first homes took shape in the fall, the community started to come to life, and you can now drive through and see the interesting streetscapes coming together!
An Urban Infill Gem in Bel Air Park
We also celebrated the completion of Kinver Private, a unique enclave of executive townhomes surrounded by greenspace in Bell Air Park. By the end of the year, Kinver Private was fully built, beautifully landscaped, and feeling nicely integrated into the established neighbourhood – another example of our dedication to thoughtful design.
Expanding to Carleton Place
A major milestone for Uniform in 2024 was the launch of McNeely Landing – our first community outside of Ottawa. Situated in the charming town of Carleton Place, this community perfectly balances connectivity to the city with all the amenities and character of small-town living. We’re excited to bring our brand, our homes, and our architecture to this growing area and create something truly special.
Elevating the Rental Experience
2024 was a milestone year for our luxury rental portfolio. We completed the lease-up of ECHO, our stunning canal-adjacent rental community, with all 52 suites now occupied! Wateridge Village also reached an important milestone, with its five low-rise luxury rental buildings nearly full. This rental enclave is now complete, with beautiful landscaping, inviting common spaces, a lovely central community building, and excellent connectivity to downtown and the Ottawa River corridor.
Award-Winning Design
One of the biggest highlights of the year was winning a GOHBA Housing Design Award for ECHO. We’re incredibly proud of this building and its impact on architecture in Ottawa. ECHO is a standout design in a special location, and this award is a testament to the care and attention to detail that went into making it a reality.
Looking Ahead
While 2024 was full of exciting milestones, we’ve also been hard at work behind the scenes, laying the groundwork for future projects. Stinson Place was a major focus throughout the year, as we navigated important planning processes to bring this project to market as soon as possible.
